The
2009 Barrita Sarcochilus Open Day was held on the Sunday 17th
of October and was an outstanding success. An impressive crowd
of orchid personalities came to look at, buy and chat about orchids
and a great time was had by all. It was lovely to see so many
familiar faces as well as some new ones. The day incorporated
a look at the Barrita breeding stock, some 150 plus plants in
full bloom displayed for all to see over a cuppa and cake, the
opening of the greenhouse with a rush for pick of the benches
and an auction of some extra-special plants. Congratulations to
everyone who went home with Barrita Sarcs, we hope they give you
many years of pleasure whether they be for the showbench or the
garden. Planning is already underway for next years Sarc Day so
